According to the Korean release, The LG Optimus Z (KU9500) and Optimus Q (SU2300) will be getting an update to Android 2.2 and 2.1 respectively. A new additions of LG’s Optimus series, LG Optimus One will arrive in LG’s Korean homeland in Q3 and features Android 2.2 as its OS, We can’t learn anything more than that from the Korean announcement. My guess is these will be staying in Korea and maybe swing by Europe eventually.
Optimus-branded Android phones have included four devices: LG Optimus Z, LG Optimus Q, LG Optimus Chic, LG Optimus One. The use of the word “chic” leads us to presume this one will be targeted at the lady buyer. Will ship with Android 2.2. (more…)
